Basic Cyber Safety Training Program

With constant advances of technology and our dependence on digital platforms, there has been a huge rise in incidents of malware attacks, social engineering & various other digital frauds which have impacted the victims economically and breached their privacy. It is important to understand that cyber security does not just involve businesses and government. Computer, tablet, smartphone probably contains information that hackers and other criminals would be interested in having.

With a vision to provide basic and foundational level education to all the concerned end-users - be it a casual user or a professional looking to secure his/her digital life and assets, the following course contents are designed with following modules.

Course Duration: 30 Days [1 hour, 5 days a week]

Introduction to Cyber Security	This section deals with educating the pupils regarding the domain of cyber security and why it is now of so much importance in our day-to-day lives.
Securing Operating Systems	This section is all about strategies and tools to protect your Operating Systems like Windows, Mac OS, Linux.
Malware and Antivirus	This section will give an introduction about malicious codes like virus, worms, ransomware, etc., how such malware spreads and how to check for such malware infection. Various other tools and strategies will be taught for protection against such malwares and attacks.
Internet Security	This topic deals on teaching the pupils on safety and security while staying online - browsing, chatting, blogging, gaming, etc. Concepts on data privacy and safeguarding our privacy are included in this domain.
Security on Social Networking Sites	Pupils will be taught on how to protect their personal information on social media and avoid social media scams.
Securing Email Communications	This topic will teach the pupils about protecting their email accounts and guidelines for secure email usage.
Securing Mobile Devices	Concepts on security of data on mobile devices will be taught.
Cloud Security	Fundamentals on securing and backing up important data on cloud computing are included in this topic.
Securing Network Connections	Concepts on network security and tactics on protecting one's home/office wireless or wired network will be taught.
Data Backup and Disaster Recovery	Importance and various techniques on data backup are included in this topic.
